EZ LADDER® Menus

EZ LADDER® like other windows based applications uses a menu system. The menus are located at the top of the EZ LADDER® application window (provided they have not been moved).

File Menu

• NEW - Creates a new ladder diagram project.
• OPEN - Opens an existing ladder diagram project.
• CLOSE - Closes the currently open ladder diagram project.
• SAVE - Saves the currently open ladder diagram project.
• SAVE AS - Names and saves the currently open ladder diagram project.
• PRINT - Prints the currently open ladder diagram project.
• PRINT PREVIEW - Preview the currently open ladder diagram project as it will be printed.
• PRINT SETUP - Setup the printer and print options.
• Previous Projects - The last few previously opened projects are listed for quick opening.
• EXIT - Closes and Exits EZ LADDER®

Edit Menu

• UNDO - Cancels (undoes) the last performed action.
• REDO - Restores the last UNDO action.
• CUT - Deletes (cuts) the currently selected object.
• COPY - Copies the selected object to the Windows Clipboard.
• PASTE - Pastes the copied objects from the Windows Clipboard.
• SELECT ALL - Actively selects (highlights) everything in the active window.
• SETTINGS - Setup parameters for the Display and other features.

View Menu

• TARGET INFORMATION - Opens a window with specific target information including I/O for the selected target.
• CROSS REFERENCES - Opens / Closes the Cross Referene Palette.
• OUTPUT - Opens / Closes the Output Window.

Project Menu

• SETTINGS - Defines the setting for the current project and/or target along with the available options and features for each.
• BOOTLOADER - Provides a tool to update the “kernel” on the hardware target. This only works in Monitor Mode.

Reports Menu

• VARIABLE DEFINITIONS - Creates a viewable and printable report with all the variables declared in the active ladder diagram.
• CROSS REFERENCE - Creates a viewable and printable report with the selected functions that are in the active ladder diagarm.

Window Menu

• CASCADE - Cascades the open windows.
• TILE - Tiles the open windows.
• ARRANGE ICONS - Arranges window icons.

Help Menu

• ABOUT EZ LADDER® - Displays the current EZ LADDER® file versions, and the licensing information.
